Hi guys, this announcement is for everyone of this forum. I have split this announcement in several parts. Please read it all.
I'm not only speaking on behalf of the administrators, but also as a person with feelings.
What happened today, and in the last couple days, is something we do not want at all, do we?
First, about the league match Vesmirni Lide - Resurrected:
The regular match ended in a draw, which means an overtime is going to be played.
Very unfortunate, not a single player noticed the wrong settings for the overtime play.
Because of this, the overtime started with the wrong play settings. This isn't a big issue, because most of us know the overtime stops when a goal is scored.
But SanRoo, the host, noticed during play that the settings were wrong and said this. lorZ probably saw the wrong settings by then, and started to reply on SanRoo.
Because he was replying, the match was for a small moment not fair. Unfortunately, Resurrected scored in this moment.
Afterwards, there was an agreement on replaying the overtime. What exactly happened is unsure, there was confusion in Resurrected that lorZ had been afk, but if this was the case they probably didn't know by then what was the best to do.
The overtime got replayed, and Vesmirni Lide won this overtime. That is the current result of this match.
Discussion on the forum:
After this match, @jese, the team captain of Resurrected, opened a topic about the unfair decision of the overtime result. I will not go into detail about this discussion, but I will say what we are going to do about this, so it does not happen again.
General warning:
Based on all what happened in this event, the administrators will say this:
- We give a last warning to everyone involved in this discussion not to insult others. It is okay if you want to say something or participate in the discussion, but do it in a civilized way!
- We also give a last warning to everyone who has asked for a ban of another user. We won't tolerate this anymore, and the admins won't hesitate to give the asker a temporate time-out because he or she asked this of the admins. We are always fair with everyone, and do not ban anyone just because we can.
Resigning of lorZ as administrator:
Not only I, but the whole admin team deeply regrets that lorZ left the admin team. He has proved himself to be a very good admin, but we understand why he took this decision. We will go talk to him, and hope he will yet again feel comfortable with us all. But guys, remember very well how this came about.
Final decision:
The overtime of this match will be played again. The regular draw of the league match will stay.
The admins believe this is the best solution for this incident. We didn't want to give the overtime to one of the teams, but wanted a new and 100% fair overtime play.
I ask both captains lorZ and @jese to arrange this overtime with each other.
Thank you for reading this, we really appreciate those who help and support us. We hope we can keep this forum like it is, was and (hopefully) always will be
