Hello Spacesporters!
I hope you all are well and celebrated New Year's Eve and even missed a bit our game and our community.
Recently, we were faced with an unpleasant situation - zero activity in the forum, lack of public rooms and the complete lethargy of our community. Many come to terms with happening and sadly say "Spaceball is dead" and hard to argue with them: players gradually leave our community, go to play other maps of haxball or even stop to play this game. This tendency is very sad and the only thing what we can do, is try to start a new league season and get all those who are not indifferent to spaceball.
European Spaceball League - SSN7, format:
After some discussion, we decided to make this season with a draft system. Such an attempt was already made in the 5th season, and was received very ambiguous, lot of opponents of this format (and myself included) have achieved that the league comeback to his initial form. Now, however, we simply do not reach a sufficient number of strong teams for the classic, long season. Therefore, it was decided to hold a fast, light draft-season, just to return the main forces of our forum and their interest in the game.
As for the advantages of draft, then this question have already answered Vida:
In addition, for a variety of gameplay, there are some completely new ideas, stay tuned and voting to choose format details!

PLEASE, if you plan on playing in Season 7, sign up as soon as possible. You can always go back and change your activity. People who wait till the last possible moment will just prolong all the process and make it harder for us to determine number of teams and roster limits. (c)

All what we are going to change is the team registration and players contracts, and fit the league in a new playing system, which is known as the draft system in some sport competitions. This will bring us more competitiveness to the league, almost zero chance on team quits and having an easier way to get new players to the teams. We know that some friends will stay in the teams together anyway but not all of them can and it will be more balanced. This all drafted (international) teams make it possible to have active players on each fixed Gameday+Time because the activity of players will be known before the draft starts, even if somebody won’t be available for all games he can still play – in the contrary, it was the same before, but now it opens the chance for all players in the teams to play without having delays.
