Hi SpaceSpeedGolers!
We had good feelings after tonight's The 3rd Official SpaceSpeedGol Tournament so we played an another tournament till we died from fatigue. I called it the Late night show, because it was around 3-4AM and the structure of the tournament wasn't the same as the previous tournaments had. We tried to play the knock-out stage only with 8 players (each match with 2 halves of course) with small and big semifinals after the 1/4final so everyone played the same number of matches (6 halves) instead of unequal case in previous tournaments with more games for the best players. So the ragequitters had a chance on quitting the lost tournament even sooner.
We saw the thrilling games surprisingly and the very first match brought us the longest SpaceSpeedGol game of the all tournaments so far. It was a match between the well-known American player Joey, who loves the Polish cinematography, and talented teenager Biscuits. They tied the game in full-time, tied it in over-time too, so we saw the penalty shoot-out. And finally, Joey won this game after the 12th (or 13th?) round of penalties when nobody believed this match could end before Spaceball 3v3 League start.
The previous winner Spacko was knock-outed by Michi' in 1/4final after breathtaking OT but he succeeded on his way for the 5th place in small semifinal against lorZ. This gave a chance on overall victory to another players. Silence showed better form in this tournament but he finished his way for victory in the finals. Vida won the finals for the 1st time (on space map) and finally won the SpaceSpeedGol tournament. Michi' had an unluck when he faced Vida in 1/2finals but it was a tough match after which he couldn't pick up the latest psychic powers and he lost the 3rd place matches against Joey. This means we have 4 different SpaceSpeedGol winners so far - the unknown Polish proSpeedGoler Xardas, A, Spacko vom Dienst and now Vida, and the tournaments are still interesting with all the forum players which are getting better on this map (so I could reach the victory now or never, I am happy).
